After the breaking of the ceasefire and the resumption of the war in Western Sahara on November 13, 2020 against the Moroccan occupiers, a group of students from the film school of the Sahrawi refugee camps are making their graduation film studies in order to obtain their diplomas. They chose "The wall of shame" as the subject of their film, a 2720 km long wall protected by military forces and anti-personnel mines, a wall that caused ecological, human and psychological damage, a wall that tore the Sahrawi people apart and divided families. Since the creation, film has become an essential tool to preserve, protect and transmit Sahrawi culture and identity, most of it oral, from Sahrawi elders to younger generation.
WANIBIK is a cinematic adventure of passionate and determined young refugees, it is the story of a people, the story of hope.
